Giveaway Time: BOX4BLOX
I have three boys. Boys love Legos. Lots of Legos. They definitely get played with in this house, too. I’ve seen (and stepped on) towers, cars, animals, alien dinosaurs, flying robots, space vehicles…you name it. They. Love. Legos.
So when I was approached by Box4Blox to try out their product, I said “Of course!” I was eager to see how this little beauty would tame our plethora of Legos. And guess what. It did.
We had all shapes and sizes in one big plastic bin. But you know those little tiny ones that are the size of one little whole? Or the arm of one of those Lego men? Well, they were hardly ever found. Until now.
BOX4BLOX works by simply sorting the Legos through a series of trays with different sized grids, which means the blocks end up in a tray with similar sized blocks. You can see a video on how it works here.
I was surprised that this compact system held all of our Legos, too. When stacked, it makes about a 10″ cube and holds 1500-1700 Legos. My kids love it because they can find the pieces they want and they think its fun to “sift” them. I love it because it stores easily and keeps them all together and organized (which, in light of my organization series a couple of weeks ago, can only be a good thing!).
BOX4BLOX retails for around $27. The company has graciously offered one for a lucky winner of today’s giveaway! Simply leave a comment* here by next Thursday, July 10 at midnight and you will be entered to win. Make sure you check out their website too!
By the way…Happy 4th!
*For the 1% of the population that needs to be reminded of this…please leave a meaningful comment. Comments like “Win” or “Pick me” or “I want this” will certainly not “win”, “be picked” or “get that”. I need a little more effort than that, folks.

It was an interesting video–my nephew could have used one of these when he was a kid. Seems like he used a tackle box for his assortment of legos.
July 4th, 2008 at 10:47 am
This looks totally cool! Right now we have all the same size legos (pretty big), but as the girls get older I’m sure the sizes will get smaller and the collection will vary. This is a great storage and organizing box! Thanks!
July 4th, 2008 at 10:54 am
Oh how perfect! His are stored *somewhere* in plastic bags in the closet and when he wants to construct, this elicits a from me because I know all that it will take just to find them.
Perfect for the younger ones too as they will identify a giant lego as a lego container.
Tres cool!

We definitely need this!! How nice it would be to have some organization! My boys have tons of Legos! Thank you for the giveaway

My son, who’s 15 now has TONS of Legos that his little sister inheirited. They’ve been sitting in multiple boxes and containers at Grandma’s because the pieces are so small I am sure I would vacuum them up. This is a great item for storage and organization of those little parts, so you can find them quickly and not have to hunt for them under the sofa, across the room, or worse yet-in the vacuum bag. thanks for the giveaway.
July 4th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
I am on their email list and I love this! It’s such a timesaver and great organizer helper. Love to win one!!
July 4th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
Our lego collection started 30 years ago with my 1st Nephew and has been passed down as the children out grew them. I now have aquired the 1200 pieces of legos that my 11 year old still plays with and will then be passed down to a great nephew back to the sister of the 1st lego collecter. ironic huh. But for now I have them in a hugh tote and every time he hauls them out he has to search for hours for the smaller pieces that are microscopic. A lego box would make building more fun for him and less of a mess for me later. This idea for a lego box was genius~!
July 4th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
I love the organization! I am happy to see that you can still put them all in the top, I was originally thinking you would be sorting them all. Legos are such a great toy that all kids love becuase they can actually play and be creative instead of all the electrontic toys that do everything for them.
July 4th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
This looks like a wonderful tool for organizing the legos and won’t take a lot of space doing it. My boys have tons of Legos that end up everywhere and it hurts a whole lot to step on them when walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. This is something that they would probably use to put them away because it is a toy itself with the sifting and everything. It would be nice to win one. Thanks for the information about this product and the giveaway!

Hi there! I found your blog through the Metropolitan Mama blog! I really like it!
I’d love to win this! My son is a lego lover, but it’s incredibly exasperating to walk through the house, stepping on legos every few paces. And like you mentioned, the lego supply is dwindling because they simply get lost! Neat invention…wish I’d thought of it!

July 5th, 2008 at 9:18 am
That is SO cool! I’ve tried everything to corral our million Legos, but nothing has really worked for me. This looks like a neat solution.
July 5th, 2008 at 10:43 am
This would keep me from getting frustrated with the Legos.
July 5th, 2008 at 11:48 am
My daughter loves to put things together! Great giveaway!
July 5th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Cool idea. Would help keep our Lego stuff organized.
July 5th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Greetings, I hope you enjoyed your Fourth of July celebration! This
is an ingenious Lego storage sorting and storage box. We have an insurmountable number of Legos. My youngest son has been building with them since he was 2 years old!!!!! Please enter me in your delightful drawing. I really appreciate it. Thanks, Cindi
July 5th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
I have three boys and lots of Legos as well. This is definitely something I can use. Right now my youngest son has Legos all over the floor in his room
July 6th, 2008 at 8:11 am
This sounds like a fantastic product. We always have Legos everywhere. It’s an endless fight to keep them picked up and put away. Ever step on one of those suckers in bare feet in the middle of the night? Ouch!
July 6th, 2008 at 12:11 pm
Thanks so much for the opportunity.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:22 am
I have two boys with an endless supply of legos which right now are in two large rubbermaid bins. They dump the entire contents to play and it leaves little blocks over the whole floor which I usually end up picking up with the vacuum because they are so small…Im sure you can relate, lol. I’d love to own this, in fact, if I DONT win, I think Im going to buy it.!
July 7th, 2008 at 8:48 am
Cute, cute,I really could use this with 2 small grandsons who have lots of legos an small parts, thanks
July 7th, 2008 at 8:56 am
What a great idea. My son would have a blast with this and my husband might just like legos again.
July 7th, 2008 at 9:07 am
What a great idea! We have a box of legos in our pantry that has all different sizes in it, and the lid keeps falling off. LOL. Our legos are never an organized thing. I may have to go get one of those…
July 7th, 2008 at 10:36 am
Where was this when my boys were young? I love it! Now it’s time to help out my nieces who are having their little boys and more Legos than they know what to do with.
July 7th, 2008 at 11:41 am
Our legos are EVERYWHERE. This would be perfect.
July 7th, 2008 at 11:57 am
We need 10 of these. With four boys, we must a million little Lego pieces.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
What a great idea! Our Legos are all mixed together, my guys would love this!
July 7th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
Why did it take so long for someone to think of this wonderful invention?? I’m constantly wondering if all the little Legos are multiplying whenever I turn my back. They leave tiny little impressions in my feet when I step on them, and cause curse words to want to fly out of my mouth. The crazy Lego chaos needs to be corralled! And this looks like the perfect gizmo for the job. I also love its somewhat minimal, “cubist” (ha!) design. Thanks for a great review and giveaway.

This is fantastic! You honestly mean no more stepping on those little very painful pieces?
July 7th, 2008 at 6:16 pm
oh, we could definitely use this in my house! the legos are everywhere! thanks!
July 7th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
OK, I have 3 boys also, and there are legos around here of any and every size, shape, and color!!!! Many times I’ve had to throw legos away out of frustration! This would make it much easier to enjoy the legos!!
July 7th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
it would be so great to have all our legos so organized!
July 7th, 2008 at 10:04 pm
7 year old grandson lives with me and his legos are everywhere. It would be nice to have them all in one place. Thanks Great Giveaway

I’d love to win this for my youngest. His Legos are all over the place and we can’t find them because they get loose in the toy box. What a cool idea this prize is.
July 8th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Oh my gosh, this is great. I’d love this, i have been working on organizing my kiddos toys. This would be awesome!
July 8th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
My husband always talks about this great lego sack he had as a kid. I think he would love to have something to organize ours so he can justify buying more and really building big.
July 9th, 2008 at 5:46 am
I love this idea. We are just beginning to collect lego pieces and I could see the box being useful for us.
July 9th, 2008 at 6:01 am
This would have sooooo come in handy a few years back, the 10 year old has kind of grown out of them, BUT once in awhile when heading in to his room to say goodnight I’ll end up stepping on one right in the center of the foot, not a pleasant good night kiss… they’re still may be use for this!
July 9th, 2008 at 6:20 am
This would be so helpful to us!! We live in a rather small house and anything to help eliminate clutter is a wonderful find! Thanks for the contest! chrisandamyward at comcast dot net
July 9th, 2008 at 7:42 am
I am a kindergarten teacher and the children like to play with legos. Right now the lego are in a plastic tub. This organizational system would be wonderful.

July 9th, 2008 at 11:20 am
I’m in anything to organize the play area is a great Bonn.
July 9th, 2008 at 11:46 am
Why didn’t I think of something like this? It’s ingenious! My kids always just dump them all over the floor and no matter how carefully we think they’re picked up, the vauum cleaner always finds a few for dinner. I love this storage idea!
July 9th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
This is a must for every family. My little sones to my pre-teens, seem to not be able to keep their legos organized. Thanks for info!!
July 9th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
Since I’m Buried In Legos I NEED one of those !
I’ve tried several method of Lego storage that don’t last.
July 9th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
I keep my gazillon and 1 legos in a big plastic container and this Lego storage looks like a time saver. My baby boy is now 15 and we keep his Legos around for his younger sisters and for when our friends come to visit with their boys. It would be great to be able to find a lost head in a snap. I lose mine all the time!
July 9th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
what a fabulous idea (I wish I thought of it)! I bet kids would love to sort through all the legos just to play with the box. Thanks for the review
July 9th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
very cool idea, it is is hard to find just the right one when building with legos when they are all on one box
July 9th, 2008 at 11:25 pm
What a neat storage solution. It even looks like it fits right in with the Lego color scheme. Now….if only my son would actually put things like that away….: )
Do you have 1500 legos? Wow!!! I don’t imagine we’d have that many to store!!!!
July 10th, 2008 at 5:55 am
I watched the video and I complement the inventor of this organizational unit! As a former preschool teacher, I would have utilized this system. And now, I am interested in getting it for my nephew, who leaves his pieces and parts strung out all over the apartment.
July 10th, 2008 at 6:18 am
We could so use this!
July 10th, 2008 at 9:07 am
I absolutely love this idea. I have a 7 YO Legomaniac who just completed a week at Lego camp and we could make serious use of this. It’s one of those products that make you think, “Why didn’t I think of this?” Absolute genius!
P.S. To Caryn Bailey – Yes, I have way more than 1,500 Legos. In fact, we have an entire Lego room complete with Lego pillows and throws. You would be amazed at how quickly the pieces add up. Just one Star Wars set can easily have over 600 pieces. My boy is addicted.
July 10th, 2008 at 10:34 am
My nephews – and their Mom – would love this!
July 10th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
we really need one of these at our house!
thanks!

July 10th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
Wow, I love this. We have way more than 1,500 lego pieces and I know we have lost a few. This is a great solution instead of piling up all the boxes they came in.
July 10th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
I would be very grateful for the Lego sorter block. My son has tubs of legos and loves building with them but I am constantly volunteered to find those little headlight or corner pieces. It is frustrating for me and my son and we have tried many organization bins but it is time consuming to separate the blocks.
July 10th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
Oh, wow! We just cleaned up a huge piles of Legos and other misc. building parts tonight, in fact. This would be awesome!
