Every Purse Has a Story
While I’m getting back to reality and a normal routine after the bliss that was BlissDom, I’m going to do a not-very-taxing-on-my-brain post today about my purse.
Yes, my purse. Darcie tagged me a few weeks ago with a fun meme, which originated with Beth at totalmomhaircut. Here’s the skinny:
1) Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids.
2) Tell us how much it cost. This is not to judge…this is for entertainment purposes only. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, please do tell.
3) Tag some chicks. And link back to this post (Beth @ Total Mom Haircut) so people know why the heck you’re showing everyone your diaper bag/non-diaper bag.
Here’s mine.
I have to say, its one of two of my old standbys. I’m definitely a brown/black girl and like my bag to match my shoes. So this is the brown version and I have a black one (that is in no way similar) too. I like me a biiiiiig bag to put all my junk in.
This one came from Target because I’m a real big spender. I think it put me back $19.99 (not including tax).
So I’d like to tag Hilary at Dunham Diaries and Chrissie at Flip Flops and Applesauce, two lovely gals I got to finally meet in person at BlissDom. Show us your stuff, girls.

I like it! I usually carry a black or brown purse too, but lately I’ve been trying new things. I bought a navy blue bag in the fall that I have enjoyed. It is still a solid color and neutral, so it goes with anything. But now I’m hunting one-of-a-kind bags on Etsy.

I love that purse! I think I’ve seen you carry it around.
I, too, am a brown/black kind of girl and like to match my purse with my outfit. That said, lately I’ve been more of a “backpack” kind of girl – it’s so nice to have my hands-free when chasing around my 2-year-old, plus it holds my laptop!
P.S. I CAN’T WAIT to hear about Blissdom. Are you going to post a re-cap? I *guess* I can wait until tomorrow (when we meet for our weekly walk) to hear about all of the details…
