Scalpel. Suction. Let’s Close.
By the time this posts, I’ll be on my way to the outpatient surgery center.
Its been a long time coming and I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Today I’ll be having surgery on my left hand for carpel tunnel and tendinitis in my thumb.
And did you know that carpel tunnel has nothing to do with repetitive motion? Turns out its completely hereditary and hypothyroidism is one of the contributing factors. Who knew?
So needless to say, I wont be posting for the next couple of days. It would probably take me three days just to type one post. But I promise to be back as soon as I can type “surgery bites.”
In the meantime, there are plenty of other gals to keep you company. If you arent familiar with them, you should be! Here are a few of my favorites:

There seems to be a few different schools of thought on it, Kaycee. I think what my Dr. was saying was genetically, people have different sizes of “tunnels” that surrounds all the ligaments and nerves to the finger. Some are more narrow. Apparently studies in other countries have shown that people who use their hands more, have better “carpel tunnel” health. Im just hoping the surgery was worth it…it remains to be seen!

Oh I know. I joke often about Web MD and their thoughts. I am a nurse, I’ve heard them all! I hope surgery helps!

So how’s the recovery coming? Still not up to “sugery bites?” I hope that’s not a bad sign…
Feel better soon!
