Favorite Fridays: Free Time
Hmmm. This is a first…I’m blogging in the garage. Sweety is working in the garage and suggested that I bring my computer out and join him. He set up a chair with the fan right on me since the garage door is open and its about a billion degrees outside even though its 8:00 p.m. while I’m typing this. He’s so sweet and his tush is so cute when he sands his man stuff. 
Yummy. Oh sorry…did I type that out loud???

So its Friday…time for Favorite Friday! This week’s question:
What is your activity of choice when you have one of those rare times as a mom when its just you, the house is spotless, the laundry is done, the kids are at grandma’s or asleep and you have a good block of time to do whatever you want to do? You can have more than one answer!
This is my answer in no particular order:
Scrapbook
Bead (make jewelry)
Watch a Movie
Go Shopping
Its funny how rare those times are. And how “un-often” I allow myself to just take a break and not work and not clean and not worry about the junk drawer that needs to be organized. I need to work on taking the time to do something I WANT to do than sometimes feeling guilty for not doing what I SHOULD.
We all need that “mom time” on a regular basis. We deserve it.

Today’s one of those days! Amazing hubby is taking care of the kids and I’m going with a friend to shop in Phoenix. Yay! I love reading, making cards (kind of like mini-scrapbooking, yeah?), and playing games if I’ve got free time. And by the way, I love when spouses appreciate each other in public. Not too much (I don’t need to see people’s tongues down each other’s throats or groping…), but I have fond memories of my parents telling each other in front of us how cute they though the other was, or kissin’ in the kitchen. It made me see what a real loving relationship should be. So appreciate your hubby’s tushy proudly.

I love to paint my toenails. I am a little bit weird because I never paint my fingernails but have to have perfect toes… especially in the summer when I wear flip flops from sun up to sun down. So I like to fill up my pedispa, soak my tired feet and then paint my toenails some crazy color like flaming orange or lavender purple. My way of pampering myself when I have some quiet time.

I rarely get these times but when I do, I love to read, write, blog, read blogs, sew, or sometimes I take a nap! mmmmmmm naps are good

I love your list, minus beading….tried, just can’t do it. But, I have been sewing ; ) I love sitting on my swing reading, taking a walk or watching a movie. That’s cool you watch him sand his man stuff.

Kids at grandmas?! Ha. *That* would be nice…
If that fat chance ever happened along though, shopping would top my list. I really miss shopping. And while I was out I would stop for a starbucks and I wouldn’t have to drop a fortune there because nobody would be in whining for one in the backseat.
